Sustainability Report 2025

Our latest Sustainability Report tracks the positive impact of our Energy-from-Waste operations in 2025 against the ‘triple bottom line’ framework of People, Planet and Performance.

Our essential role in the treatment of society’s residual waste, the delivery of secure baseload electricity and the recovery of materials for reuse comes with important responsibilities and we are proud to continue our exemplary record in fulfilling our role safely and efficiently.

Highlights include our breakthrough progress on construction of the UK sector’s first full-scale carbon capture plant, the strengthening of our core operational cluster in the UK Midlands, the first full year of operations at our ash-to-aggregates processing facility and the recruitment of our first ever UK-based apprentices.

We are proud of our achievements and hope you enjoy reading more about our ongoing work to provide both a vital societal role and a key delivery vehicle for green infrastructure and clean energy.

Our sustainability performance

The data tables below provide details of our latest performance against a series of key sustainability measures, as highlighted within our 2025 Sustainability Report.

These measures are presented within the ‘triple bottom line’ framework of People, Planet and Performance. They are monitored and reported to our Sustainability Committee on a quarterly basis to help accelerate our progress in delivering ‘more than energy from waste’.
