Our latest Sustainability Report highlights the positive impact of our Energy-from-Waste operations in 2025, measured against our ‘triple bottom line’ framework of People, Planet and Performance. As we play an essential role in treating society’s residual waste, generating secure baseload electricity and recovering materials for reuse, we recognise the responsibility that comes with these activities and remain committed to delivering them safely, efficiently and sustainably.
Key achievements during 2025 include significant progress towards the UK sector’s first full-scale carbon capture plant, strengthening our operational presence across the UK Midlands, completing our first full year of operations at our ash-to-aggregates processing facility and welcoming our first UK-based apprentices. The report provides further insight into our sustainability performance and our ongoing work to deliver ‘more than energy from waste’ through our contribution to green infrastructure, clean energy and wider society.

Our 2024 Sustainability Report highlights Encyclis’ performance across a range of environmental, social and governance criteria, reflecting our continued progress in decarbonisation, district heating and the circular economy. As we play an important role in delivering sustainable waste treatment, energy and resource recovery, we remain committed to operating responsibly and contributing positively to the communities and environment in which we operate.
Key achievements during 2024 include progress on our first-of-a-kind carbon capture project at Protos ERF, advances in the rollout of district heating and continued development of our bottom ash reprocessing capabilities.
