Policy Objective

Encyclis is committed to business continuity that safeguards the operation of its energy recovery facilities. We will have processes, people and resources available to us which allow our operations to get safely back to normal in the event of disruption, and to learn from each event as part of our continual improvement process. It is a strategic objective to safeguard the business and its long-term operation, reputation and prosperity. Continuity will be achieved over time by having the right processes, people and resources. By being resilient, businesses can take measured risks with confidence and make the most of opportunities, even those that arise during disruption.

This statement sets out Encyclis’ approach to creating a resilient business with continuity for it’s operations. It focusses on embedding good habits and best practice across our operational disciplines and our networks with others to mitigate considerable impacts. We will proactively implement ways of working to ensure we are aware and informed of the risks and opportunities ahead, be prepared for significant unplanned disruptions, seek to benefit from any learning which is experienced in managing them, and adaptive to changes which may arise.

The foundations of our approach will ensure that we:

  • Have an Integrated Management System and operating structure which facilitates good governance and enables the exploitation of opportunities, mitigates risk, encourages innovation, manages investment well, and ensures that people are accountable.
  • Engage leaders in driving a culture in which it is normal to consider business continuity within decision making.
  • Develop teamwork by which Encyclis employees are empowered and motivated by a culture of trust, openness and innovation to address risks and opportunities.
  • Confirm our resilience in business continuity through compliance audits and test exercises.
